Workshops for Anti-Bullying Week 2015
For the first time, the Songwriting Charity will be offering 4 unique workshop programmes in parallel throughout the Autumn term to help build resilience and improve behaviour.
Our 4 anti-bullying songwriting workshops on offer are:
Bully Beat - our anti-bullying intervention workshop for schools who would like to address bullying head on with target groups.
Something Kind - encouraging children and young people to be kind to each other, promoting positive behaviour and raising confidence levels.
Master Peace - using world peace as a metaphor to increase cooperation and tolerance in participant groups.
Resilience Songs - increasing resilience skills for children and preparing them for the challenges ahead, especially in stepping up to secondary school and developing their capacity to cope with adversity, and be strengthened by it.
The focus and stimulus for the work will be around World Kindness Day on November 13th and anti-bullying week, which runs from 16th - 20th November
Do get in touch now if you have any questions.
"The Essex Music Education Hub is delighted to be able to support a project that raises awareness of anti-bullying and gives young people an opportunity to perform and compose music too!” Andy Hill, Head of Essex Music Education Hub, November 2013.
" Highly motivational. The children learnt so much and really felt like they had a purpose. The evaluation carried out by the charity is very useful - good to know who feels they are being bullied. Nathan and Sarah had an excellent manner with the children.” Hannah Matthews, Eastchurch Primary School 15th October 2013
